KIVVO PAYOUTS

Kivvo Payouts Calculator

This page helps you estimate what a Kivvo Payout could look like based on your own situation — your contribution schedule, your plan, and how consistently you save. It's a planning tool, not a promise.

Use the calculator below to explore different scenarios. The text on this page explains what the calculator does, what it assumes, and what it doesn't cover.

The short version

  • This calculator is an estimate, not a guarantee. It shows what a payout could look like if you meet all eligibility requirements for a full period.
  • Kivvo Payouts is currently limited to Kivvo+ members who also meet a minimum contribution threshold and maintain a 6.5-week streak.
  • The calculator uses the current fee structure and cashback rate, which may change.
  • Real payouts depend on real contributions. If a contribution fails, is reversed, or your streak breaks, the actual payout will be less than the estimate — or zero.
  • The calculator doesn't factor in tax. Cashback may be taxable income. See our Tax Information.

What this calculator does

The calculator takes a few inputs about your situation and estimates what a payout could look like at the end of a payout period.

It uses:

  • Your contribution schedule — weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly
  • Your contribution amount — subject to the minimums for your chosen schedule
  • Your plan — Kivvo+ (the plan that unlocks payouts) or free
  • Your assumed consistency — how many of your scheduled contributions you expect to make on time

It then applies:

  • The contribution fee structure — flat fee, percentage fee, and cap
  • The current cashback rate for Kivvo+
  • The payout period length — 6.5 weeks for Kivvo+ members

The result is an estimate of the cashback amount that would be credited at the end of a payout period, if everything goes according to plan.

What this calculator assumes

For the estimate to be meaningful, the calculator assumes:

  • You have an active Kivvo+ subscription for the entire payout period.
  • You meet the minimum contribution threshold for your chosen schedule throughout the period.
  • Every scheduled contribution is made on time.
  • Every contribution is successfully processed — not failed, reversed, or cancelled.
  • Your streak is maintained for the entire 6.5-week payout period.
  • The current fee structure and cashback rate apply throughout the period — they don't change mid-period.

If any of these assumptions don't hold, the actual payout will be less than the estimate, or nothing at all.

What this calculator doesn't cover

The calculator is a simplification. It doesn't cover:

  • Failed contributions. If a scheduled contribution fails, the streak breaks for that period.
  • Reversed contributions. A chargeback or dispute can retroactively remove a contribution.
  • Changes to your schedule mid-period. Changing your amount, frequency, or plan can affect eligibility.
  • Changes to Kivvo's fee structure or cashback rate. These can change, with notice.
  • Tax. Cashback may be taxable income. The calculator shows the gross estimate, not the after-tax amount.
  • Payout distribution. How cashback is credited (to your Saver pool or directly to goals) is separate from the calculation.
  • Partial periods. If you start contributing mid-period, or cancel Kivvo+ mid-period, you may not be eligible for that period.

How to use the calculator

  • Choose your plan. Kivvo Payouts is only available to Kivvo+ members. If you select the free plan, the calculator will show that payouts aren't available.
  • Choose your contribution schedule. Weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.
  • Enter your contribution amount. The calculator will enforce the minimums for your chosen schedule: $50 weekly, $100 bi-weekly, or $200 monthly.
  • Adjust your assumed consistency. If you want to see what happens if you miss a contribution or two, adjust the slider. Remember — in reality, missing a contribution breaks the streak for the entire period.
  • View the estimate. The calculator shows an estimated payout amount, based on the inputs and the current fee and cashback rates.

You can adjust the inputs as much as you like to explore different scenarios. Nothing you enter is saved — the calculator is a planning tool only.

What the estimate means

The estimate is the amount of cashback you would be credited at the end of a payout period, if:

  • You met all the eligibility requirements for the full period, and
  • Nothing changed during the period.

In practice, this means the estimate is a best-case scenario, not a typical outcome. Real users often experience:

  • Missed contributions (which break the streak)
  • Failed payments (which break the streak)
  • Schedule changes (which may affect eligibility)
  • Plan changes (which affect eligibility)

An estimate that looks generous is not a promise of what you'll receive. Treat it as an upper bound for planning purposes.

The eligibility reminder

Before using the calculator, keep in mind:

Kivvo Payouts is currently limited to users who meet ALL THREE of these criteria:

  • Active Kivvo+ subscription for the entire payout period
  • Contributing at or above the minimum for your chosen schedule throughout the period
  • Maintaining a 6.5-week contribution streak across the period

If any of these is missing, Kivvo Payouts won't apply for that period. See our Payouts Policy for the full details.

Fees and rates used

The calculator uses the current published fee structure and cashback rate:

Contribution fee:

  • Flat fee: NZD $2.00 per contribution
  • Percentage fee: 8% of the contribution amount
  • Maximum fee: NZD $15.00 per contribution

Cashback rate:

  • The current cashback rate applicable to Kivvo+ members, as published in your account and in our Payouts Policy.

Payout period:

  • 6.5 weeks for Kivvo+ members.

If these change, the calculator will be updated. We'll also notify you about material changes that affect you.

What the calculator is not

To be clear:

  • It's not financial advice. It doesn't recommend a course of action or take your personal circumstances into account.
  • It's not a guarantee of returns. Kivvo Payouts isn't interest or investment return. It's a reward for consistent saving.
  • It's not a commitment by Kivvo. The cashback rate and eligibility criteria may change.
  • It's not a substitute for the Payouts Policy. The Policy is the authoritative source for how payouts work.
